Onyx & Brass Candlestick with Wax Rose
Decorative onyx and brass candlestick featuring a turned onyx column, brass mounts, and a wax rose detail. Combining natural stone, metalwork, and decorative waxwork, this piece reflects the ornate home décor styles popular throughout the mid to late twentieth century.
The onyx displays natural banding and colour variation, with tones ranging from cream and honey through to caramel and amber. The brass fittings provide contrast against the polished stone, while the wax rose adds a decorative floral element to the overall design.
The candlestick stands on a brass tripod base and was designed as a decorative furnishing, suitable for display on sideboards, mantelpieces, cabinets, or occasional tables.
